I have been on Savella for 3 months...it helps my pain but I am still on Lyrica also. Be sure to take it with food as it can cause nausea. Savella has given me more energy which is a good thing.
For me, it helps with the pain tremendously but the side effect of sweating is making me miserable. The sweating goes on all day long. I'm in and out of the tub, changing my clothes because I'm drenched in sweat all day long. I have cut my dosage back to 50 mgs. and am still sweating profusely. I have been on the savella for a year and the sweating has gotten no better at all. I will be devestated if I have to get off the savella as the pain will return with a vengence, I know. I have stopped it before and felt worse than I did before taking the savella. I hate this sweating all day long and wish there was something that could counteract it. Too bad the medicine is so good yet sweating side effect makes it almost impossible to tolerate. Toots
Thanks for the responses but does it help with any of the other symptoms of fibro or just the pain? If it is just the pain I will stick with Lyrica which helps me because the side effects of Savella seem to strong if they are only helping with the pain.
For me and it is certainly enough at the moment, it just works on the pain which makes my other symptoms seem not so bad anymore. I haven't taken the savella in two days and the sweating has stopped, but I will have to take one tomorrow just to keep my noripenephrine levels up which makes the pain better. I will take one 25 mg. savella every other day and see how it works. From what I hear from my friends who have tried Lyrica, it hasn't helped them all that much. What does it do for you? Toots

I just started the Savella today. The Lyrica worked for me but I have put on about 70 pounds in 2 years so I have to get the heck off of it.
