another LDN question

For those of you who have taken LDN: can I take it every other day? Even though I'm on a low dose (1.5), it is making me too hyper and dizzy.

I hate to quit because my fibro pain is gone. I reduced my Armour's thyroid to 15 mgs. but took 30 mgs yesterday.

Re: another LDN question

I know that when I began my treatment that it took a little while to get used to it. I have Low BP so I have dizzy spells all the time. Maybe you should call the compound pharmacy and see if you can skip a day or maybe even try a slightly lower dose. I do know that once I was on for a couple of months they had to bump up the dose as the body does become tolerant. I even read somewhere that people would open the tabs and mix with juice or water to reduce the dose (drinking half)to see if that made a difference in their symptoms, but as always I would run it by the prescribing doctor.

Re: another LDN question

Hi, I've never heard of LDN. Can you tell me what it is?

Re: another LDN question

Low Dose Naltrexone, used to boost the body's natural endorphins in response to pain. It is a compounded med and generally prescribed for a host of immune disorders. There is some info online if you do a search.

Re: another LDN question

Thanks for your reply. My MD said to take it every other day. I felt nearly normal today.

For the other responder: please look LDN up online; you can simply google it. I'm too scatterbrained too give you a simple explanation--I'm not being rude. LDN = low dose naltrexone.
