skin burning and sore

Anyone know what this is or what helps? I have Hashimoto's for 10 year years. They think I have fibro- 2 years. My skin feels sunburned and when you touch it, it's sore. The burned feeling moves around every other day or so.
Worse on my arms, stomach, back. Here's the weird part, air conditioning in the car makes it kick into high gear. So when my arms feel cool they now start to burn. Been happening for over a month. Does this sound like a fibro thing??? One dr. thinks it could be from my thyroid. HELP!

Re: skin burning and sore

The symptoms you describe sound like FMS. I wouldn't know about Hashimoto's causing burning sensations. For the FMS part, you might try taking Benadryl to see if it helps. Also, lightly dry brushing with a bath brush before a shower; or try using a bath brush in a bath with Epsom salts, sea salts and baking soda (1 cup each) and follow up with a shower afterwards to wash off the salt. Lac-Hydrin or Aquafor lotion should be used on your skin.

This is a terribly annoying symptom, I sympathize.

Re: skin burning and sore

Thanks for the response. I have another dr. appt in 2 weeks. They want me to chart the symptoms, so we'll see. Yes, I do use epsom salt. Very odd all this. I was hoping FMS diagnosis was wrong and would disappear. I live in the land of denial. Thanks for the suggestion.

It takes awhile to cope with this sort of diagnosis. You will do well - just keep pressing forward.
