I started getting this pain years ago for short periods at a time, but about 3 months ago had it continually for 2 weeks, went to the Dr. had a internal and than off for blood work and a pelvic ultra sound, everything was fine, after 2 more weeks it went away.
Myofascal pain syndrome
Arthritis, cervical and thorastic
Fibro-gunk accumulates on tendons all over your body, even the groin. The pain can be pretty bad and interfere with walking (at least for me it did). Like any fibro cycle, this pain should leave in its own good time (which could be whatever, you know how that is. . . ).
hi and welcome,
it is always a good idea to check in with your doc when new symptoms arise. best to know for sure if it is fibro related or not. don't assume it's fibro. that is a trap you do not want to fall into.
i have had pelvic/groin pain and still do. mine is related to damage to my spine.
peace of mind is very important. the right doc and a test or 2 gives you that.
gentle massage may break up the congestion there, if it is fibro related.
I never had groin pain from fibro, but that's not to say it's not possible. I do get it from having other issues and scar tissue.
I have learned with any new pain to not assume it's the FM and go to the dr or bring it up on your next visit. I thought my foot pain was FM but after my rheumy suggested me seeing a foot doc I found out I have plantar fasciitis in both feet..
Groin pain is one of my worst and most annoying pains! Most days, I can hardly stand my underwear to touch me!! Had nerve blocks done to see if it would help, it didn't!! Actually made it worse! U are the only other fibro sufferer that I have seen with this symptom! Sorry that u have it but good to know that I am not alone! Have u found anything that helps???
