Pain make your teeth ache?

Most of my pain centers in my neck, through my shoulders, upper back & back of skull... It always hurts... But of course gets worst. I've noticed when it gets worst & hurts more (like today) my teeth ache. I don't grind my teeth. It's like my gums, teeth & even jaw ache. It's bearable, just annoying. Anyone else have this?
I don't take pain meds unless I have to... Have taken them the last 3 days though & will have to again today...

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

Do you have tmj? It's one of fibros symptoms. I have had it for years and yes, my teeth ache. When my sinuses are really bad it happens then too. Right now, my whole body is flaring. Can't even lay on my side at night, by ears hurt so much and there is no infection.
Eat soft foods for a bit to try to help your teeth.

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

I'm not sure... Like most pains it comes & goes... Not sure if it's the joint or not, just feels like the bones in my jaw through my gums ache... I know it could be worst, just more annoying than anything...

I hate when laying down hurts! I roll from one side to the next & feels like all the bones hurt when you lay on them... Luckily for me its not very often.

The ear hurting... I've had it where my ear feels sunburned, happend a few times. But the last few months I've had it feel like I have an ear infection starting in my right ear then it'll go away & come back a week or two later... So Weired.... Is that how it is for you?

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

For years I have pain like that around the time I am going to get a bad cold or sinus infection. My gums and teeth seem to ache and nothing really helps it. But then it goes away after a couple days. Hope yours does too!

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

The sinuses flaring do make the teeth ache too. My jaw hurts quite often, I am used to it by now. I just accept it. Sometimes it's internal, others external, so it does change.
I hope you feel better.

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

Thank You everyone
I'm doing ok, could be worst... I have always had a high pain tollerance... I had a dr once tell me that it's true the people with fibro tend to have a high pain tollerance. I can see that... It's just annoying, uncomfortable. But seems to happen when pain is worst...

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

I find that the muscle spasms in my neck can set off spasms in my cheeks, which cause pain almost like a toothache. I can sometimes ease it by actually massaging the cheeks. It looks pretty weird, so I don't do it in public, but it works.

Lately I've been under so much stress, my face hurts all the time! LOL.

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

Oh yes indeed. I have tmj and it has been flared up for a couple weeks and can only eat soft foods. Sugary food/drink make teeth hurt more.

Re: Pain make your teeth ache?

My jaw/tootth discomfort is gone today & neck pain not as bad... about the same as usual... but ive been fighting my migraine like headache for days. Got bad last night & still here. Hoping it doesn't get worst... when it does I'm so miserable... if nausea sets in I get really sick... I knew ishould have laid down all day yesterday so it didn't get worst but couldn't. Ive been promising a friend for two months to deliver soay sheep to her. We traded her for two baby doll sheep! They are so cute! They are miniature sheep like the spay but the like attention while the soay like to be left alone. They look like tiny sheep dogs.
Anyhow, between that, laundry & a 2 yr old it just didn't help... ive done nothing today but play with legos & cuddle up on the couch.

Hope you guys feel better soon! That is not fun....
