Does anyone else get buzzing in there ears? I get it all the time unless it's taken over by a head numbing headache which I am sure everyone has the joy of experiencing!!
I have been getting a ringing in my left ear for past few months. Irritating to say the least. I can't hear good when the ringing is happening. May be due to my TMJ which is in a huge flare up right now

mine is consistent in my right ear. never stops. i'm pretty much used to it now. just play some low music or keep fans on. anything to distract the ear into hearing other things. sometimes one of my ears will just go and i can barely hear out of it. lasts an hour or two and then comes back. doc's really don't know why people get tinnitus, but figure it could have something to do with the jaw, sinuses, ears, etc. nothing to be concerned about. just irritating if you let it get to you.
Yikes! I'm sorry you guys have to deal with that! That would drive me crazy! I have a hard time blocking out noises... I don't get the ringing but I have a hard time understanding people often. People in tv or in person often sound muffled. It may be a word here & there or words one after another. My hearing is fine, the dr that did the test said I'm not processing correctly. Lately I feel like I'll have an inner ear infection & it'll come and go. Usually in the right ear, was in the left yesterday.
Anyhow, no ringing just find it all interesting...
yes I have the buzzing noise in my ears or head allthe time ever since I was in a mtorcycle accident I call it a constant ringing in my ears shortly after I got the shingles and then excessive pain started in kept going to chiropractor which didn't work and pain persisted and went into nerve damage went back to my regular doctor and told him I think I have FM then he did all these test on me when test came back it confirmed that I had FM he put me on gabapentin, hydrocodone, and cymbaltawhich hasn't worked for me I feel like I can't do anything, what do you think?
I have it as well in right ear and ringing in the left. When the left rings I then lose hearing for a while. The buzzing drives me nuts because it feels like something moving in there and I get freaked out! Oh well one more thing to deal with....
Low pain All,

Reason: to switch ears...lol
I have ringing in my ears constantly, it never stops! I can usually ignore it, but it gets worse with headaches and migraines. I'm not sure if it's related to anything, but it sure is annoying!
I have constant ringing in my ears. It's easy to ignore when there is background noise but soon as it's quiet it's not as easy to ignore it. Sometime I wonder if it's related to taking Cymbalta. I don't ever remember having this ringing before I started taking it.
Also every once in a great while I get this deep in my head deep toned buzz, almost live a vibration noise. That one is kind of disconcerting.

I have the buzzing in my ears or head all the time non stop ever since I was in a motorcycle accident later after the accident went back to hospital because of severe pain and they found more broken bones in both wrist my left shoulder and shoulder blade and some right side ribs then I got the shingles and that semed to turn into fibromyalgia none of the doctors could explain the buzzing or ringing and told me that none of this was due to the accident but I know better and the doctors were reluctant to even give me Hydrcodone for the pain I personally diagnosed the fibromyalgia went back to docter and he did a whole lot of test and sent to lab only to rule out everything the doctor suspected and then he told me it must be fibromyalgia , has anybody else experianced FB after a trauma? I now get severe pain in my left shoulder and arm to the point I am screaming and rolling around holding my arm because the pain is sooooooo bad I have been experimenting with an electric shock muscle stimulator and that seems to help until it turns off , it only runs for 15 min at a time has anyone else tried this?
Hi dave, good to hear from you. Sorry this stuff is giving you hell. I get the ringing in the ears, too Mine started after a lot of blows to the head and jaw. Someone posted here maybe a month ago, with a horrible case of tinnitus.
Definitely physical trauma sets off fibro for people. Also, one day I came across stuff about a whiplash connection, too. ( google Study, abstract fibromyalgia and whiplash, you'll see that someone did a study and found out neck injuries are much more likely to trigger it that a lower limb injury.).
