New pain advice needed please

I have fibromyalgia for 8 years but just diagnoised recently. Today was one of the worst days I have ever had. I have had pain between my shoulders that is off the scale. My shoulders blades are sore but the part of the back that is right between them is were the worst of it is. This is a new pain area for me. My husband was on the verge of calling an ambulance but I would not let him. Has any one else had this any tips on how to deal with it.

Thanks

Do you feel any knots there? I have my husband find the sore spot or tender point and take his knuckle and dig at it. Yes it'll hurt like he11 while it's being broke up abut after that sharpness will be cut considerably. Then followed by a rubdown and a little tiger balm or dremu oil.

If he isn't home I use my thera cane to loosen it up.

Re: New pain advice needed please

That's actually one of my main or "usual" pain areas. I stretch a lot, and it helps. Any stretch that involves pulling your arm forward or across the chest can loosen the area between the shoulders.

Re: New pain advice needed please

I have the constant neck pain, upper back & shoulders... I soak in a hot bath every day & that helps me sooo much! Heating pads are great also!
I need to try some of those oils woods walker mentioned!

Was your hubby able to rub the knots out? Did it help? How are you doing?
