I dont know what to do anymore. 3 years ago was diagnosed with fibro after extensive testing and workup. The lyrica and elavil prescribed didn't work--was missing whole days through sleeping--24 to 36 hours at a time. Add CFS to my diagnosis. At the same time i got injured at work--blew out both wrists resusitating a patient. My job fired me after my FMLA time expired and I lost my health insurance. Workman's comp has covered 3 surgeries on my wrists and arms and now wants to do a fourth--a bone graft on the right arm because the ulna hasnt healed after 6 months of the ulna shortening. I'm thinking of refusing the surgery even though it could result in deformatity and nonuse of right arm and hand. After each surgery and invasive test (EMG, mylelogram, etc) that i have had it seems as if the fibromyalgia and cfs have gotten worse---much much worse. The only med i have right now is oxycodone for the arm pain but it doenst even touch the pain i'm feeling from fibro. My ortho's think i'm exaggerating and feels surgery should have no effect on my body pain, fatigue, and stiffness. I've tried to get in to my rheumatologist for an opinion but he doesnt take self pay......Am I crazy or are all these surgeries and procedures crippling me with fibro pain??
Your opinions would be much valued....mare
