Do you drive while taking Tramadol? I had been taking it only when I absolutely had to, but Doc wants me to start taking 3 a day (50mg each) to keep pain from getting so bad. I, also, take Cymbalta (90mg) 1 a day and Ambien (5mg), if needed. Would you drive if you were me? I do not feel impaired......
I take Tramadol daily & my new Rhum wants me to take it every four hours since pain is sooo bad these days. All Tramadol does for me is take the edge off so I can have alittle relief & move around... I know it will make others feel fuzzy... But I have a condition (derealization) which causes me to always feel drugged. So that may be why it doesn't make me feel any different mentally...
I drive on very strong meds when I do not feel impaired. I am sensible and time my medication around school collections etc, to have a clear head. To be honest some of the times I drove in really bad flares were probably more risky as my concentration was not at it's best.
i drive more slowly, time my meds and often use a driver. good input agenda. not all of us have a driver on hand. i'm lucky.
use your common sense. try the med for a few days, see how you function and then decide if you feel safe on the road. i quit driving for 2 weeks to get used to the meds i take for sjogrens.

I take a lower dose (15mg) of extended release morphine (ms contin). I have been on it now daily for 10 months. I do not feel impaired so I do drive if I am going to work, etc. My husband takes a lot higher dose than I do so I usually drive the errands. I have been on & off narcotic meds for 5+ years (fibro & female issues), so I do have a higher tolerence to narcotics. I feel that it is a personal decision on if you feel impaired or not as everyone is different on meds.

I take 60mg Cymabalta and 50mg Tramadol 2-3 times a day. Been on tramadol since dec of last year and before that I didn't even trust myself to drive. I seem to have alot of cognitive issues and me driving isn't a safe thing. Sometimes I do have to drive but don't want to at all. I stay in the city and keep to back roads. I don't go anywhere that I can't take back roads as I stay away from main roads.
