Has anyone heard or read anything on a new pain medicine called N60? The last time I read about it was in July 2010. Unlike other pain meds, N60 disrupts the electrical impulses from the area of the body that is in pain to the brain. Basically kind of turning off the power to a light bulb. This would be an ideal treatment for Fibro suffers, who like me, has to take more and more Tramadol or Vicodin to relief the constant pain. If anyone has any current information on N60, please reply to my post. Thanks
hi vince,
looked in my pdr and the pdr online. could not find N60. rats. curious as i have had to begin taking narcotics and they mess with my system too, go figure? is there another name for the medication? i'd like to look this one up for sure. for you and for me. giggle.
peace,
blue
ps there is much truth to the more you take the more it takes. being loopy is no not pain relife it's floaty headed don't care that i hurt. for me that's a danger. i tend to do things that bust my fanny cause i'm so loopy and don't give a darn. sure do have a clean house and that makes all the hurting worth it. love to learn the same lessons over and over. giggle. i was good for 8 days.
Hi, I search for it and found when it was discussed in July 2010. It looks like its still under study! But it did say it's non addictive and can last atleast 24 hours. Can't wait to see if it will become available.
When a drug has a letter-number code like that, rather than an actual name, it means that it's still pretty early in the development process.
As of the 2010 announcement, it was just discovered and tested in labs and on animals. It doesn't seem to have been tested on humans at all yet, which means it's at least 5 years away from the market. (And, of course, it might totally flop in human trials!) Worse, I didn't find any references to a major drug maker picking it up to fund the studies in the first place. So, exciting, but probably not on its way to a drugstore near you any time soon.
Oh great., but thanks for the info. I do remember article saying it was being studied in millitary.
My Dr. Had told me back in Jan. That there was a new vicodin coming out also without tylenol...
