It can be caused by a number of things, including vertigo, inner ear problems, heart problems, nerve issues, and meds. If it's heavy dizziness I would lean more toward vertigo/inner ear. If it's less severe (i.e., you're still functional, not nauseated, etc.) I would lean more toward a heart or nerve issue.
You say you haven't changed meds, but side effects of current meds can change if, for example, your blood pressure changes. I obviously don't know your specific circumstances, meds, BP, etc., but these are a few things to consider. Good luck to you.
