Re: Should I talk to my doctor about fibro?

And let the testing begin... I feel like a pincushion. The doc wanted to test for arthritis, lupus (very doubtful, and gout (even LESS likely!). And because I told him about my feet going numb/pins-and-needles and lousy balance he wanted to check my sugar yet again. That's like the fourth time this year but they've all come back fine. I'm doing better now but I'm still stiff and a bit shuffly. Apparantly, you CAN get arthritis overnight when you've had other illnesses, and I had plenty this year. I still don't think it's very likely. And yes, he mentioned fibromyalgia as a possibility but he has to do the other tests first. In the meantime, I'm resting as much as I can, avoiding stress, and feeling a little better each day. This flare is on its way out and we just have to wait for another before we try anything else. Hopefully it'll be a long time coming!
