About two years ago I went to a nuro-Psychiatrist who told me to stop "dwelling" on the pain and concentrate on what I CAN do. He suggested I stop using this board sooo much! I do check in from time to time, however sometimes it is just too exhausting to type.
So over the past two years nothing has really changed. Still a lot of aches and pains, daily naps, I had to start wrapping my feet so I can walk a little bit, standing up from a sitting or laying position is excruciating!!! My newest problem started this week and I don't know if it's fibro related (lol). My elbows and wrists hurt real bad. Not so much the joints but the muscles around them. I can hardly lift a gallon of milk. And yes they are tender to touch. Anyone else have this problem?
Yup me too. Sometimes lifting the mild is rough for me too. It isnt always there, but can be pretty bad when it's flaring. It is good to get your mind off it too, but it's also comforting to know others are going through what you are going through. Here, you dont feel alone. Some days I have trouble with the typing too.I get so frustrated when I am flaring up and then I come back here for help and support.. Hope you feel better.
My hands, wrists and forearms are very achy and a bit weak. I have to use both hands on the milk jug too... I'm not reading much atm because holding the book up makes my arms burn like it was a 50lb weight.

Hi Elle,
I gotta be honest, not pleased with your Dr. He's right about keeping your mind off Fibro but at the same time a support group helps do much! Coming here has helped me learn to control it more than Doctors have helped. I notice I come here more often when I'm not doing so great.
When you hurt keeping your mind or body busy eases the pain. Unfortunetly when we need to rest, physically busy is a bad idea. I play games my phone or read. I have to keep my mind busy at all times. I noticed the more I hurt the more I play my games.
Word searches, Sudoku, Puzzles, ect is wonderful therapy!

Ya, I wasn't crazy about him either. I had to go to get my disability approved. On his behalf though, he didn't say stop all together just not to be obsessed with it. I was on here at least 5x a day. Like i said, I do stop by from time to time to get and give support. This group has helped me through some very hard times. Love to all
