Cramping?

I've been having a lot of muscle cramps lately all over my body. And they are very painful. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it from the fibro? Or should I make a sooner appointment with the doc? It's just flat out strange, I've never had these symptoms before. I had to pull over on the side of highway to try and ease the cramp in my hip today. I can't really drive right now since I don't know what might be triggering them. And I do apologize if there has been a post like this before.

Cramping and spasm , been getting both for years. Mine are from the FM and back problems.

Same here both cramping and spasm, really annoying but part of my fibro life.

Are there any medicines to treat it? Or am I just SOL and have to rely on the pain meds. They don't seem to help the actual cramping and spasms.

If anyone out there knows of a med to stop the cramping of muscles, please let us know. I have cramping every day all day. But I was also told I might have an autoimmune disease so I will be going to a specialist next week. But the cramping really hurts!!

Boy does it hurt! Have to agree with you there. I've also been having shooting pains down the side of my neck. I just don't know whether to call my doc, make a sooner appt or just wait another month and a half. I guess I'll just have to see how long this is going to last. The worst is getting a terrible cramp while driving. I'm afraid I'm going to run off the road or hit someone, so I haven't been able to drive. :(

I agree, it hurts like hell. I take flexeril for the spasms. There are other muscle relaxers out there as well. I also use my TheraCane to help work out the spasm at home. If I catch them at first twinge I can stop most of them

Flexeril is a good muscle relaxer if u can take it...I take it and it works great for me. Hope you find something that works for you soon...Those muscle spasms can be bad news for sure.
