Heat tolerance

I have found I have an unusual sensitivity to heat, such that I cannot sleep on a mattress such as a Tempurpedic, nor under a comforter. I have been assessed by an allergist who told me I am not allergic to heat, so I assume this is an effect of my fibromyalgia, which I have had for more than 40 years. Lyrica does not affect this particular symptom. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

Re: Heat tolerance

I don't know if it's related to fibro, but I get heat intolerant too.

Re: Heat tolerance

Your post caught my eye because I am really suffering from the heat myself. I do not have fibro, but do have many other health issues and do take lots of medication. Even though I live in a very moderate climate, I am trapped inside due to the weather. It looks like a long summer still ahead.

Re: Heat tolerance

I have fibro and I hurt more in the summer than in the winter. I tend to overheat when I sleep as well and will often kick off the covers even in the winter. The first time it warms up in the spring, usually in early April, I will flare up so bad, I get little sleep for about a week to 10 days. My worst pain is usually at night and I never thought about it before, but now I wonder if it is because I get too hot when I sleep.
