Last week I sprained my right hand/fingers closing my car door...(not that I closed it with much force, just sort of pushed it)and I guess my fingers bent back a little too far? I don't know. The pain was immense and travelled down the inside of my arm, It hurt for the rest of the night and even woke me up during the night. The next day I could hardly use my hand, could not pick things up, write or make a complete fist. I went to the doctor who said she didn't think I had done serious damage and to just take some voltaren.
Anyhow I was a bit daft (and ambitious!) and on the weekend I cleaned my oven and washed down the kitchen cupboard doors (I have a rental inspection coming up!). Well now both hands are painful, this morning I woke up and my left hand was sooo stiff and painful I could not even turn on the tap to wash my hands. It has eased a bit during the day but there is still pain. If it was still just my right hand I could understand that it was just my own fault for using it whilst it still hurt but how is it that my left hand is almost as bad without truly spraining it?
My question is does anyone else get this? Is it down to the fibro? I have never had this before from doing housework (or closing a car door!!), everywhere else gets stiff and sore which I'm used to but never my hands and fingers. Is this just another reminder that I have the condition and is just affecting yet another part of my body or something else. I would be interested to know if any of you have had this too.
