I was officially diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 2007, although I've had symptoms for many years before that.
So here is my biggest problem. Whenever I have a flare up it seems like that stage never goes away. It just gets chronically worse and worse with each flare. I am really losing my mind
I am on a huge mixture of medications and they just aren't helping at all anymore. The medications currently are Nortryptiline, Neurontin, Flexeril, Celebrex, and Indomethacin. I have tried changing my diet (which has helped some) as well as some of the easier yoga.
I am on Medicaid now, so I'm assuming it is going to be hard to get any further treatment. But I figure if I get a few plans I can see what I can get approved for?
Do you guys have advice on different treatment options for Fibro?
Thank you for your time!

Don't give up. You need to find the RIGHT combination of medication for you. We are all different so we all medicate different. I have been on EVERYTHING! I am on a new drug that has made THE difference for me. Opana-Er, Neurontiin, Savella. I am on some other meds for other issues as well, but this is for my Fibro, and I also get the spine injected everything three or four months for the pain in my legs. I hope this helps a little. Rose
It might be worth seeing if you can get some physical therapy, preferably with a PT who knows a bit about fibro.
As for medications, it really can take quite a bit of experimentation. And the severity of fibro can change over the years, sometimes it gets worse and sometimes it just gets better.

Okay, I can ask my doctor about any physical therapy. And ya the Rx switches have been all over the place. I hope we can get that figured out...preferably soon >_<

I definitely know about the med changes. I've been on quite a few. Savella made me very, very sick. I was only able to stay on it for about a week before the side effects were just too much.
