Sweating?!?

Does anyone else have a issue with sweating? I have central air and I have it set so it's cold and everyone else is freezing and Im still hot and sweating. Take a cold shower and get out and start sweating as Im drying off. Driving me nuts. Been like this for a few weeks now and it's not my medication.

Anyone else have a issue with sweating?

I know how you feel. I feel like I am burning up from the inside out. I can feel the cool air on my skin but it does me no good cause I am so hot inside. It's a fevery fluish type thing with me. I feel hot and I feel like crap alot. I hate it.

Re: Sweating?!?

Thought I was the only one.....almost feel relieved to know that I'm not. Lol. If I go shopping I take an extra pair of clothes underclothes and all Bath cloth with powder just to freshen up for the next store...it's horrible. For this reason I will be glad to see Fall..

Re: Sweating?!?

Yup, nothing like sweating your makeup off as you're trying to put it on... I've been blaiming Savella for months, even before summer hit... I never used to sweat & now I can stink so bad, yuck!
Anyone else on Savella with this issue?

Re: Sweating?!?

Tori, a neighbor I meet recently has fibro as well (only person I know irl that has it) and she's on savella and she sweats too. Im not on it. I have always had a issue of being hot easily but nothing like its been lately. This sweating is getting out of control lol. I pick my clothes based on sweating lol. Pick the coolest.

Re: Sweating?!?

Savella I think is the only reason i sweat so bad, but it's the only side effect I really notice. I'm usually always cold so atleast my husband hasn't gotten irritated this summer over me turning fans off or shutting windows lol

Re: Sweating?!?

The dripping wet sweating happens to me multiple times a day....feels like my whole head is trapped in an oven. I asked the doc if there was anything I could do about it and he smiled sadly and said, "Nope. Get a fan." I already have fans all over my air conditioned house and just ordered another small fan to carry in my purse when I leave the house. I also freeze everyone in the house by keeping the A/C on 69-70° in the summer...expensive but I can't stand it otherwise. And I am the queen of tank tops year round. It's nice to know I'm not alone in these personal heat wave attacks.

Re: Sweating?!?

YES!! The severe sweating has gotten out of hand and now I don't go in public unless I have to. It's not hormonal hot flashes. My areas of dripping sweat is from my head and torso area with the head being the worst then neck/breast area then entire back....all will just drip sweat and completely soak my shirt. I must always carry a hand towel to wipe the sweat rolling down my face into my eyes and dry the dripping sweat from my hair. THANKFULLY I do not have odor issues with the sweat or else I'd NEVER leave my home. Showers no matter how cold the water is only seems to activate the sweat glands even more. Upon getting out of the shower I can't get dressed for at least 20 minutes or else my shirt would look like I've been sprayed with the water hose. This summer has been horrible.

My pain management doc tells me that it's just another symptom of Fibro. I was diagnosed with Fibro in 2002 and the sweating has only been a major problem the last few years...sadly it seems as each year passes it just gets worse and worse.
