oh yea, the solid rock total mush weak stumbling gait! i know that one! giggle. i just go slow and easy. focus on each step by talking to my body and guiding her thru the steps. one thing i do know, getting up every 10 minutes helps even if it's just to walk across the room and back to your seat. or in my old lady case to the loo and back, giggle.
when i started taking a protiene drink 3 days a week i noticed it eased up a great deal. i am a vegetarian. my thinking for me was i was not getting enough and it was causing the locking and weakness. or at least exacerbating the situation. on the days i take it i don't have that problem. can't take it daily, then i get too much. by day 3 i notice it a bit, but by then it's time to chug a lug again. i do a vegan drink but do use organic 2% milk in it. i don't think meats do the same thing tho. they make me very tired and sore.
