Fibro and Birth Control

So, I have a question for you guys. I'm looking for a new type of birth control (currently on the pill, but hate the risks and taking a pill everyday) and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? I'm looking at getting the IUD, but with our lowered immune systems (whoo) I worry about infection. Even with an alarm though, I forget to take my pill. I'll hear it go off and then get distracted on the way to the pills and then take them hours later. I've tried the ring and reacted badly to it (I think I was allergic or something. got really itchy and had like 3 times the normal amount of discharge). I really want something with low dose of hormone or none at all, because I don't like the risk of blood clots, and I want something that I don't have to take every day.
Thoughts?

Re: Fibro and Birth Control

hi,
i do not think an iud is a good idea. you would feel the pain of it being there i bet. one of my dots has an implant in her arm and she loves it. i had a hysterectomy at 29 so i am out of the loop on birth control. hope one of the other girls will be able to help you.
i had an iud years ago. it perforated and i started bleeding rather alot so the doc ripped it out. yes, ripped. he said there was no easy way and i was a mess already. whatever. i was lucky to carry one child to term after that.
peace,
blue
