Love the title of my post?! LOL. I have been in a flare due to a shoulder injury/new fibro pain since early November. I have had horrible sharp pain in between my shoulder blades. I have also had freezing (it is cold here in the Northeast, upstate NY!)hands and feet, but they are sweating! It's very annoying! I have been applying medicated foot powder and wearing warm socks when in the house, yet if I wear them out I get too hot!
Does anyone else have sweaty cold feet? any suggestions to prevent/help them?
I used to be someone who was hot all the time so this is wierd for me?!

Ive been going to all my specialists and GP since this started and finally got to my rheummy yesterday. She touched my upper body(pressure points) and I nearly jumped off the table. I was so very sore yesterday. So she wants me to start cymbalta, I have never been on anything besides advil and flexeril when needed. It's been almost 11 years with fibro with many good batches of time and many flares over the year and now its time to get on some meds to help with the pain. I am also going to try a newish physical therapy called MELT, anyone try it? It is supposed to help people with chronic pain and people whom have pain from exercise. I will let you know how it goes. I also asked for a script for pool therapy and am looking into starting that. So hopefully, the sweaty cold feet is just another annoying fibro symptom I will have to live with and the cymbalta and therapies begin to help take some of this horrible pain away!

hi jess,
sounds like you have good doctors so i suggest you ask for a test for sjogrens as it can cause the feet and hands to do just that. i did not know i had it and ended up with neuropathy in my right foot. not fun. giggle. also have you had your blood sugars done? i mean a 3 hour test where they take blood, have you drink this stuff, take more blood, make ya wait 2 hours and take more blood. this test tells the health of your pancreas over the past 3 months and gives a clearer picture of how your body process's sugars.
this is not a symptom of fibro so please get it checked out.

ps. aqua therapy is the best! don't know about the other one you mentioned but please post about it as you go. all of us want options. good luck with the new meds. remember it's your body and you decide what you will and will not take or do for your health. not the doctors.

Thanks blue! I thought that some people with fibro have raynauds? My rheummy had mentioned that once before when I told her a couple years ago that my fingers were always cold. SHe did test me for RA back then too so maybe she was thinking autoimmune disorder. I will talk to my regular Dr, next week when I go for a follow up to order that test.

MELT therapy was great, I think it will really help me. I will start a new thread about it on here!
