Fibro and Digestive issues

My doc just told me that he thinks I have fibro. I had a lot of medical tests last year, nothing ever noted, and so I finally saw a new doctor because I can't eat anything without getting bloated and sick. The food just stays there and sometimes it comes back up. I also feel like I'm going to explode under my left rib.

New doc looked at my "War & Peace" sized medical record and is pretty sure this is Fibro, which is what I thought a year ago. He also believes in the yeast/coinfection connection. I think he's got something on the possability of yeast because my stomach problems happen after antibiotics, not to mention other things. Anyway, he wants me to take Diflucan 100 mgs three times a week, then twice a week for three weeks. The stuff is hardcore as far as nasuea but I was have horrible nasuea anyway.

Anyone know a way to curb this nasuea? It's really bad right now. I wish I could lay down but I'm a busy Mom, not sure how to handle a month of this meds, then again I had to do something.

Re: Fibro and Digestive issues

Hi I have FM and also deal w/ nausea just went thru a year of a terrible case of it. I had tons of tests upper and lower hi tests gall bladder tests, etc.

I take zofran for the nausea (script) and I get ginger gum from cvs that works quickly. Chamomile tea helps along with valerian root. I also have a script for lorazapam I take for anxiety but when I get real nauseous it helps a lot.

I eat a bland diet as well because I have such tummy problems diarrhea too, they can't figure out why. I take fiber supplements to help that.

I know you're miserable, it's awful. I try to keep a bag of pretzels near me most the time too. Good luck I hope some of this helps at least try to get some zofran. Cathy

Thanks for writing back. This is hard to live with. You know one day last week, for no reason, it stopped. I had relief for less than 24 hours and it returned. This is a weird disease.
