Well, folks, after years of trying to find a doctor who would take all my many complaints seriously, my pain management specialist told me today that I definitely have fibro. Okay, so now I know for sure and can move forward with proper treatment for it, instead of the hit and miss kind of treatment I had gotten from the docs in the county health care system. I am very relieved.
She gave me cortisone shots across my shoulders where some of the tender points are. Hasn't really kicked in yet, but since it helped quite a bit with my lumbar problem, I hope it will do the same for them.
Also found out that I have osteoarthritis in my hips and knees. I knew that was going to happen, because I had already been diagnosed with osteopenia, which is the precursor to OA.
Okay, so we're just falling apart here! Old age will do that to ya! *laughs*
