Last weekend, Saturday, I was using a "theraputic" machine where you fasten your feet in this contraption, and you can stretch your body out on it, or go completely upside down and stretch your spine. Well either I fastened my feet too tight, or not tight enough..because the machine holds you by your feet..and now I've pulled some muscles, ligaments..something in my left foot. It didn't hurt at first, but about 2 days later I noticed it. The pain is in the areas on both sides of my foot where the Achille's tendon is located. but down a little bit. Its not the Achille's tendon itself, rather the 2 "meaty" parts on either side. Actually the 2 spots that hurt are right above the sides of my heels I guess is a better description.
I've been limping..it hurts, quite a bit, and I have trouble going down stairs. My question is, what muscles/tendons was it that I pulled exactly? I've been trying to search online and I haven't come across anything.. And what can I do for treatment? I've been keeping my foot on ice, but I'm afraid its going to take quite a while to heal.
I'd appreciate any feedback..thanks in advance.
