Numbness in Left Big Toe
For a couple weeks now, I've noticed a persistent numbness in my left big toe. It's not the whole toe, though...just the top right "quadrant," if you will. Basically, from the edge of my toenail to the inner edge of my foot (the outer edge of the toe that's facing away from my other toes), it's just numb. No tingling, no pain...just numb. The total area of numbness is no bigger than a fingernail, really.
I have no idea what could be causing this. The only thing I could think of is that I stepped on a sprinkler spike a few weeks ago and cut the bottom of my foot. That was closer to my smaller toes, though, and out near the end of my foot, so I don't see how the big toe could have been involved.
