My feet have been hurting so bad lately. I've been attributing it to weight gain. I've gained about 60 lbs. in last five years. Got married, had a baby, that kinda stuff. But recently, about the last month or two, my feet hurt so badly I can barely put weight on them to walk. It gets a little better after a few minutes of being up. But if I sit for a few minutes, it hurts really bad again. Do I have some sort of foot problem, or is this just because of my weight? I'm 33, 5'6 & 190 lbs. Thank you for your help.
Does it hurt in your heels? Do you have pain when you first get up? If so, it may be plantars faciitis. A weight loss may help but it won't solve the problem. If you can't stand it any longer see a doctor and find out what your problem is.
If that was correct, now is the time to do a full search on Plantar Fasciitis. I found out I had it about 3 yrs ago. I had to see a podiatrist, he taped my foot after the exam. I kept it taped for about 3 months (had to do it about once a week). Ice your foot when having pain, take ibuprofen for pain, NEVER go barefoot, wear good supportive shoes. It will take time but it should get better when you take care of your feet. Stretch your feet back & forth before getting out of bed a few minutes, that will help you to walk easier. There are also stretches your Dr. will recommend. Hope you get relief soon. Let us know how things are going for you.
