Maybe it's age or maybe it's weight or something else.
I'm approaching 40, and am overweight, 238lbs
I started walking more at Christmas and ever since standing on my feet for long periods really makes my feet sore. Once they are sore - I feel like i urgently need to get off them
Sitting down, immediately makes a difference and a few days later i pretty much forget about it til the next time.
I consider a long period more than a half hour.
The thing is that my feet have never bothered me before.
About the only thing that I can comfortably wear are my one pair of Dansko's.
I'm getting some Lands End shoes too because they seem to have good support. Sneakers are ok but only for short periods.
I've read about different foot conditions but none of them seem applicable.
I did the lands end foot test for orthotics and i have a neutral foot, not a high arch and not a flat foot.
I've started working out but i'm doing most of it in the water so there's no impact, and weights aren't a problem.
Does anyone have experience with sore feet like this ? Does it seem normal with my conditions? Any other ideas of things i should get checked for?
