Hi foot(wo)men. I may hold the record for shoe size growth due to ever flattening feet and splaying toes. Even though I may have the longest legs in a group, I'm usually the slowest walker because I have to wear a size 15
shoe to keep my toes from rubbing against the side of my shoes. Used to wear a size 12! Considerable energy is wasted sliding around inside the shoes. If I go to 14, the toes hit. Got treated for plantar fascitis already, and wear the inserts. Most of the pain is resolved, but about four miles into a walk, I notice pain beginning to creep up my ankles. Can ankle boots give the needed support for this? The only size 15 shoes I've found around here are cheap basketball shoes.
Even though I bicycle quite a bit, I have gained weight because my favorite exercise has dropped off. It feels kind of like trying to walk with duck feet. Been trying to get it right since 2005.
