Unhappy My mom's foot

My mom's foot is always bothering her. When she wakes up in the morning she says that the top of her foot feels real stiff and she can't walk on it right away. Then later she walks but it hurts her a lot to walk on it. The top of her foot keeps hurting. Does anyone know what this could be? She takes ibprofin but it don't seem to do any good. thanks.

Question

If your mom is like me she may have dropped something on her foot at one time. I have done this twice. Just a couple of weeks ago. my foot is black and blue and hurts a lot on top. ask if she has dropped something on it. If she has it takes a long time to heal. (especially for us that are a bit older.).

Does she have a lump, even if it's a small one, on the top of her foot? I have a small lump on top of my foot, right around the area where the shoelaces would tie on a tennis shoe. It's a small spur and it causes alot of pain and stiffness in my foot. The doctor gave me a shot of cortisone and it's helped alot.

The only thing you can do for this is go and get a steroid shot. This usually only occurs in the morning and you will have difficulty walking up to 4-5 hours. In my job, it is necessary for me to walk all the time and I just go and get a shot from my doctor here in Birmingham. I'm so sorry that your mom is experiencing this.
