Which surgery?

As a general rule, comfortable and supportive ones are best. And do you mean right afterward, or much later?

Thumbs up Re: what kind of shoes can I wear after an ankle surgery

Livedoll

Since I had an ankle fusion almost four years ago the only kind of shoes I can wear are Orthopedic shoes. Everyone is different. I hope you'll be able to wear regular shoes once your ankle has healed. Take care and I hope you'll stay in touch.

Sincerely Nadine

Dancing in high heels? Many months yet, your surgeon may say never. I would find another job in the interim.

Re: what kind of shoes can I wear after an ankle surgery

After you get your cast off, it'll be a few weeks at least before you can walk across a stage comfortably in nice sneakers. You may have to wear a special boot or soft cast for a month or so. Ask your doctor what the precise timetable is.

Maybe you can do a routine sitting down, or with one knee supported on a bench.

Re: what kind of shoes can I wear after an ankle surgery

My doctor told me the boot will be for my own comfort but no soft cast or I can buy a ankle support brace at walgreens or walmart and dont stand on it but the hills part is how my ankle can handle it but not recomended
