Small anterior talus bone bruise
I started a thread called subtalar joint injury (it's getting long). I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced healing from a very small 6mm bone bruise on the anterior/medial aspect of the talus. THIS IS NOT "OCD." (I also have partially torn medial ligaments and some tendon damage...not too extreme with the tendons). I'd really like to know if anyone has experienced this and healed from it where they can get back to walking, hiking, biking?! Also wondering if during the healing process you experienced quite a bit of weird pain. I'm almost 6 weeks into this (in an air-cast and now non-weight bearing....was able to bear weight with the cast most of the time up to this point). I was told healing from this is VERY UP and DOWN and takes a very long time...even a year....(5 months are what the Dr.s are anticipating for this to get mostly better). I've seen a total of 5 doctors and 3 PA's. 4 of the 5 docs are ankle/ankle surg specialists and 2 of the 3 PA's are ankle specialists...with 2 of the Docs being the best in town. (My last visit was yesterday...they wanted to confirm that I didn't do any more damage after a mishap on Saturday). ANY input would be much appreciated.
