Cast to tight?

Well i am in a "walking cast" for week a half and when i put my foot down to sit or to stand it become tight and it hurt that i can't stand it (like needling poking me). But it doesn't hurt when i put my feet elevated above my hearth level. Do you think this is normal?

I suppose have cast for another week a half or two.

Re: Cast to tight?

Totally normal. Keep that foot propped up whenever you aren't moving around. Try an ice pack behind your knee to keep swelling down.

Re: Cast to tight?

definitely normal. keep it elevated as much as possible. feet swell for 6-8 months after surgery. try icing over cast and behind knee like jane said.
