Bunionectomey recovery time

Surgery 11-6. Now 3-30. Big toe still stiff. Toe next to it had nueroma removed and has no flexibility. Need to run since I officiate football. Any thoughts on recovery time? Ortho doctor said 4 months and it's now 5. Walking a mile but still discomfort in right toe area.:

Re: Bunionectomey recovery time

Have you done physical therapy? If not that would probably be your best bet to speed up the movement (mine was stiff at that point on my last surgery as well, I never did PT)

ditto with the PT
It helped me mucho after my bunion surgery.
At this point in your recovery, you should be pretty much recovered.
However, none of this is perfect for any of us after surgery.

Hi! I had the surgery late February & am still in "the shoe". I look forward to running again too, but even painless walking seems in the distant future. Do you still have swelling?
