Recovering from bunion surgery on both feet

I had surgery to "remove" bunions from both my feet on May 7th.

I am keeping a blog on my daily recovery so that it may be of some use to others who are thinking about having the same strategy as me.

There is nothing commercial on the blog, just my daily account of recovery. I am aware that I am not allowed to mention the URL here.

I am also hoping it will help me as I recover from the symptoms and gradually gain more mobility.

I'm in the United Kingdom so I hope there isn't too much of a difference between the surgical techniques between here and in the US.

Essentially I had pain in the left bunion whilst walking and the right bunion was causing inflamation and "big toe creep" towards the next toe.

Happy healing to all post ops !

Re: Recovering from bunion surgery on both feet

I can report happily that on the 14th day after surgery I was able to do without any painkillers.

Re: Recovering from bunion surgery on both feet

Hi agrif1yo! I'm in your corner. I had bunions removed on both feet 4 weeks ago -- but it seems like yesterday! I'm glad your pain has been manageable and not too bad. Mine was quite horrible for a couple of weeks, seems much better now.

Best of luck to you in your recovery!

Re: Recovering from bunion surgery on both feet

Hi majorfeet, I would also like to read your blog. As I'm 4 weeks post-op but still feel quite a ways from being back in the swing of things in my life (not driving yet), I'd really appreciate reading about your progress.

How would I find your blog?

I hope you're doing well now and continue without problem!
