Moving foot/toes after surgery???

Hello, I had surgery on my foot on April 17th (almost 6 weeks ago). I was told today that I could start putting weight on my foot and moving my toes. I came home and tried to move my toes and they won't budge. I can get my 3rd and 4th to go both up and down (nothing was really done to them). I can not get my big toe to move at all, it feels like there is soooo much pressure in the joint, but it wont move.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start moving my toes. Something to loosen them a little.

Any advice would be great.

Re: Moving foot/toes after surgery???

Did he say you could manually do it? You know, pull them up and down? Anyway, try doing it after taking a bath or soaking your foot in very warm water. That will help warm up the muscles so they move easier. I did that when I had my big toe operated on. The hot water seemed to make it easier.
