I am 20 years old and a month ago I took a short spill off of a curb and ended up being in extreme amounts of foot pain. I was unable to move or put weight on my foot at all, which forced me to go to the doctors where I found out I have a tarsal coalition, a talo - calcaneal one to be exact and I managed to fracture that extended bone. I have sprained my ankle on various accounts but usually in my right foot and my new injury is in my left foot. My doctor told me I am a rare case because I have never experienced problems with this condition prior to my incident. I am hoping someone else is like me and has fractured their talo - calcaneal coalition bone and can tell me a little bit about what to expect for the future. I go to the doctor tomorrow to get my hard cast off, its been on for 4 weeks, but my doctor doesn't seem to have a lot of information about what I can expect. On my first visit he actually told me to "google Tarsal Coalition." I hope someone can help me!
