I had surgery on Dec. 17 and had my inner sesamoid bone removed along and a neuroma removed as well, between my 3rd and 4th toes.
I had been having problems for over a year with no relief, orthodics, cortizone shots, change of doc, etc... so I decided to go ahead with surgery.
I have been NWB for 3 weeks, no cast or boot. I had stitches on the bottom on my foot from the sesamoid being removed and stitches where the neuroma was. Yesterday all the stiches came out (which was no picinic) and now I can start putting weight down and attempting to walk.
Haven't really been able to walk yet. Most of my foot, especailly my toes, are numb and tingly. I haven't been able to put my full amout of weight on it, because it's very painful.
I know that I need to get it moving ASAP to break up that scar tissue and get my calf muscle in use again.
Anyone have any tips for expiditing this process? Anyone have both of these procedures done at the same time? Just looking for some advice,
