I'm a 56 year old very active woman who had silicone joint replacement surgery in 1988. The pain I had that caused me to have the surgery never went away. Twenty years later, the joints are breaking down and affecting the surrounding tissue and bones and are now more painfull than ever.
I recently saw an orthopedic surgeon whose advise for me was to go home and live with it for as long as I can. He said my chances for a successful surgery to correct the problem were low.
Does anyone else have this problem?
