Toenail problem...

< edited >

What happened is, about 4 years ago i did an outward bound course and i ended up getting a black toenail (not sure exactly how it became black... maybe after the big hike through the forest... possibly due to wet feet or trauma).

Anyway, the nurse there said it should heal fine eventually, maybe after the toenail falling off. But its been pretty much like this ever since it recovered from being black.

Does anyone know what the problem is? The contition has remained unchanged for quite some time now (doesn't appear to be getting any worse or any better)

Thanks alot
