Question walking boot for ankle fracture????

I got my ankle fracture 4 weeks ago and I have been living with the cast and crutches for one month.I don't feel pain right now.

I wanna ask that do I need a walking boot(brace) after losing the cast and crutches?? would the doctor or the clinic provide walking boot for patient or I need to buy it by myself?? anyone help. Thank you so much

Re: walking boot for ankle fracture????

I have no idea about your particular situation and what your doctor may want to do as it depends on the severity of the fracture, but a friend of mine had quite a serious fracture, with hardware implanted, and she wore a cast for 6 weeks then nothing after that (used crutches for a couple weeks). However, the fact that she had hardware implanted may affect things differently than you.
