Very painful foot issue!

So here it goes, I'm only 16 and going on seventeen and I'm a girl. I'm not too active but I try to exorcise when I can. One morning I awoke to find that my right foot had been having a strange pain. First it was near the .... I want to call them toe knuckles. I assumed it had something to do with me cracking my toes a lot as a habit. Even though my left foot was perfectly fine I stuck to that assumption and spent the first two days dealing with it and hobbling around the house. My mom didn't take much care to it considering she thinks I lie about all my "medical problems".
Anyway suddenly it started getting worse. The pain spread a bit more and hurt worse as I continued to attempt ignoring it. It started feeling like it was the knuckles and that other foot bone just closer to the center. Knowing my mom would write it off I ignored it more. Then This morning I decided to take a jog, thinking maybe it was tensed up and needed some exercise. Big mistake. The run hurt, but I pulled through and did my full lap. When I got home it hurt worse to walk. The pain spread even further and one of my veins at the top of my foot is sticking out. In the shower the heat did nothing to relieve it. I felt around my foot and realized the pain wasn't under or on top of my foot it was in between, where the bones are. I have no idea what's going on, could it be related to cracking my toes??? If so why isn't my left foot affected???? I don't' remember hurting it... Or at least I don't' remember.
Forgive me for the long story, I want to make sure nothing is varied.

Re: Very painful foot issue!

It's probably not caused by cracking your toes.

Put some ice on it and try to minimize the time you spend on your feet. If it's still bothering you after a couple more days, insist that your mother takes you to the doctor.

Is there any swelling around the area?

Thanks I'll try that.
And no, none at all. It looks perfectly normal minus the one vein on top poking out.
