So, I am just about one year post op flat foot reconstruction surgery and my foot was doing absolutely fantastic until the other day. When I was working, I had to transport a patient back to their room. I had to move a Bipap machine and take a separate elevator then the patient. The nurse took the patient transport monitor off the bed and placed it on the floor in the middle of the door. When I went to bring the equipment back into the patient's room, did not see the monitor, tripped and went flying. I came down really hard on both feet and now have swelling and pain in yes both feet. Now I have to see the employee health doctor. Because I am having alot of pain in my surgical foot, I am debating also making an appointment with my surgeon, just to be safe. Hopefully, both feet will be fine and there will be problem. Just a little nervous.

Because it is work related I had to go to the employee health doctor. They took many x-rays, which we all know really will not show any tendon/ligament damage. the doctor wants me to see an ortho specialist especially because of the screws in my foot. She said she is recommending I see my surgeon but because it is workman's comp. I am not sure what they will say. I am thinking about calling me regardless of who else I have to see because I trust him. I am only allowed to do desk work until I see the specialist - wish there was some desk work but my job is all on my feet. I am concerned because I have a burning pain.

Hopefully if I am lucky it will only be a strain. I guess if I was gonna injure my foot, better it happened at work then at home. Now I am just a little worried if it is more then a strain. Guess I'm just gonna hope for the best!
I went to the orthopedic specialist through workman's comp. and I have bilateral ankle sprains and tendonitis. I have to wear braces on both feet now and do pt for 4 weeks. the tendonitis concerns me because this is how my surgical foot started.
