I am 4 weeks post bunion surgery (ostiotomy) and surgery to correct a curly toe with pin in place. The pin in my little toe was removed yesterday. Foot still very swollen and sore despite me keeping it elevatated for about 95% of the time for the past 4 weeks. Also I have very restricted movement in big toe. Have seen the Physio and been given exercises to do to increase range of movement but seems mission impossible. Due to see her again in a week and also to have x-ray and see consultant to check op was a success. Feeling very down as had expected to be walking properly by 6 weeks. Still only able to flat foot walk and ankle very swollen. As soon as I put my foot down my leg from below the knee down goes very blue and tingles due to poor circulation. Looks horrible!!
I have an office job but need to drive half an hour to work and then have a 5 min walk to the office. Have been signed off for 6 weeks from op, but not so sure my foot will be good enough and walking confidently enough to return then. Is this all normal to expect post op. Have not really seen any posts re curly toe surgery. Look forward to hearing from you.
