Back in June I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, but I feel there is more going on. I have had x-rays, night splint, oral anti-inflammatory meds, prolotherapy injection, cortisone injection, ice, stretching, taping and a night splint.
I was off work 2 1/2 mo. spent most of my time resting the foot as much as possible and treating it with the above mentioned thing.
For 3 weeks now since I had the cortisone injection I now have twitching in my left 3 toes, limited mobility of my ankle, slight numbness from those toes to the top of my foot, and if I step wrong my lower achillies pulls. I also have swelling in my ankle just above the heel spur is that has been going on since Feb.
Also I only have any real sever pain at the end of the night after standing on a concrete floor for 4-9 hr shifts. I wake up feeling fine.
Oddly enough the minute I put on my New Balance Shoes (designed for PF) the pain sets in. ( also happened with cheaper shoes). If i'm in my orthotic sandals I'm fine unless I shop at a place with concrete floors. After I finish a shift the minute my shoes some off my foot gets major relief.
I have gone to 2 different podiatrists and they have no idea what is causing my other problems nor do they seem to care!
