My feet hurt all the time??

My whole body is out of whack. But right now lets concentrate on my feet. Even when sitting they hurt. I was always told as a kid I had flat feet.

Then went to a chiropractor few years ago and he said I have a arch but it disappears as I hit the floor. Supination or the exact opposite or what ever its called.

Then I went to new balance store and he said bogus you have a very high arch but it does not go away.

But my arches are always hurting and shin splints (I think that is what they are called) always happen. And the professional orthodics made my feet hurt.

The new balance shoes for supination with the graphite bar in the bottom and generic orthodics help alot.

But not enough. First at home once shoes are off there are no such things as home orthodics so it's back to pain. And my arches hurt like hell. Feels like something snaps right in the middle of the foot every so often.

And when walking my feet point otwards. (Don't remember if that is supination or not when outwartds.) The shoes were supposed to correct that cuz he said new balance test their stuff 6 months longer than anyone else to make sure it works.

And those feet scanners are no good. The manager went to lots of stores and got different results.

I'm not arguing the shoes do help point my feet inwards. Regular shoes are garbage. I last a lot longer now. But I still tire after few blocks and my ankles right above the feet hurt like hell. I was dying even after a short trek through the local forest preserve probably less than 1 mile.

My mom thinks I'm over exaggerating. I just need to remember to pint my feet straight. Not enough I say. Don't even know what kind of doctor would know what exactly is wrong. The all have different opinions.

Please help.

Re: My feet hurt all the time??

You need an ortho with a foot and ankle board certification.

Re: My feet hurt all the time??

You really need to see a foot and ankle (board certified) specialist. The will be able to examine your feet and determine what is going on.

Re: My feet hurt all the time??

"point your feet straight"?? lol no disrespect to your mom, but some people are so ignorant... don't let anyone tell you that you are exaggerating. as if the pain isn't bad enough, not getting that validation or understanding from other people takes quite an emotional toll on a person. you definitely NEED to see a orthopaedic specialist that deals with feet only. your condition will only get worse. it sounds like you obviously have severe overpronation with a flexible flat foot. i was born with the same thing and had reconstructive surgery when i was younger. your ankle pain is most likely due to the posterior tibial tendon (it's one of the major structures that holds up your arch) not functioning properly.
