Blisters, large and small, underlying itchy liquid filled.
A friend of mine has itchy blisters that start forming as underlying itchy bumps of her skin on her feet and hands. She had a bought with shingles a couple of years ago across the eyebrow up threw forehead and scalp. It finally went away, but this has been going on for much longer time. I found a thread that said to put your feet in dry Borax, didn't help. She had a Doctor perscribe ,I think, Protozone for her shingles, but extended use may not be good for her liver. Is there any other adivce out there?

I think your friend should see a doctor. Your description sounds like eczema to me (from personal experience). If not treated, the skin could become infected.
Steroid cream is often prescribed.
Water and lanolin are irritants.
