foot surgery with Kitaoka, Mayo clinic
Has anyone had a morton's neuroma removed by Kitaoka at the Mayo Clinic?
I have been reading the boards and am horrified by some of the stories.
I have had two bunion surgeries and the right foot hurt and swelled for seven years, did I have RSD?
The left foot continued to have problems with neuroma though I was told the bunion surgery would correct it.(bunions did not hurt only bottom of foot.
7 years later, left foot still has neuroma, one, perhaps two.
I now have othotics and they help some
Two cortisone shots had bad results in my left foot leaving my two toes (2nd 3rd) splayed.
Now am considering neuroma surgery in 3rd and 4th space in left foot.
It feels burny and itchy with othotics, not so good barefoot, and impossible in ordinary shoes. But still, I could go from uncomfortable, and sometimes quite painful to excruciating?>
Is it worth the risk?
I am 70 years old and know that I will take longer to heal.
