| | Post-op MTP Fusion/Graft and resections
I am 11 days post-op, fusion on the MTP of the great toe, left foot following a failed bunion with a bout of MRSA 7 years ago. Bone was taken from the heel, and the 2-5 heads were resectioned and implants put in to help the toes lay flatter, and more normally.
I am having minimal pain, i was always told a graft hurt, but this is wayyyy less than expected. Is it possible that there is nerve damage? After all, this is the 4th surgery on that foot. The drain was removed 4 days post-op and there now seem to be a small pocket of fluid near the stitches at the end of the great toe, is this normal? Ive googled and am coming up empty handed. I am running no fever, am on Bactrim since the previous MRSA experience. I can touch the bottom of the toes, thru bandages, and can feel it, just no where on top of the foot near the stitches. Little worried bout the fluid pocket, happened a day or so after the drain was removed.
