internal scar tissue in top of foot
I had a severe ligament strain several years ago in my right foot.My foot swelled up on top.The doctor diagnosed it as "broken" I was on crutches for about 3 months.Thankfully,my foot was not broken, but did develop scar tissue on the top area.
You know how you can "crack your knuckles",and also do the similiar thing with your feet by stretching them?
Well, for a long time,my right foot was so "tight" that I could never do that "cracking" stretch, where I could hear the bones crack. Now I am able to
"crack" my right foot somewhat, but circulation is affected I can see where veins at ankle area are beginning to "pool".
Flexibilty in my right foot is ok,but the natural movement of the foot is limited due to the "holding on"of the internal scar tissue.
I am researching "deep tissue massage" as a way to break up the scar tissue, but the top area of foot is difficult to penetrate.
I have ordered a hand held electric massager to try.It uses heat also and has a deep massage tip,and other tips that can be put on.Any suggestions or info will be appreciated.
