Finally Running......but

So, I'm 12 weeks post op from OCD surgery, removal of a dime sized piece of medial malleolus, bone spur removal, ganglion cyst removal, and tendon stripping and they finally started running(half mile). The therapist has told me that she is amazed at how fast I have recovered and that I have been doing great, but after our first day of running I am definitely feeling it now. Does anyone have any input on what I can expect from here out? I'm just concerned because I have to do a physical fitness test for the military not long after I finish PT and might be released by the OS next week.
